Rick Goldstein, President and Founder

Rick Goldstein, president and founder of Gold-Data, has been in the business of selling computers & software to wholesalers for more than thirty years. When he says he knows your business, he means it.  Gold-Data stays in touch with the needs of industry. Gold-Data has been the longest continuous computer company member of ISSA (International Sanitary Supply Association) for more than 20 years.

Rick was the #1 salesman in the country for top computer & software manufacturers like McDonnell Douglas and Nixdorf/Siemans. He's served as sales manager & branch manager for these companies. In fact, for three years Rick trained every salesman at McDonnell Douglas on selling to distributors.

Gold-Data/Amplexus Beginnings

In 1981, Rick Goldstein sold a $250,000 McDonnell Douglas computer system to Ken Levin. At the time, Ken Levin owned a large medical electronics manufacturing/distributing business with 110 active terminals; 125,000 active accounts; and which controlled over 1/4 million serialized inventory items. Ken managed this business using a sophisticated programming system he'd developed. 

Rick Goldstein then branch manager for McDonnell Douglas, was impressed by the versatility, power, and special features that Ken had created in response to the needs of  his distribution business. In 1983, Rick Goldstein invited Ken Levin to develop a software package for the wholesale distribution/manufacturing marketplace. 

Rick Goldstein left McDonnell Douglas and subsequently formed Gold-Data to sell the software system Ken Levin designed. Ken Levin began Amplexus to continue to develop and refine software for the distribution/manufacturing industry. 

Rick Goldstein now sells the software Ken Levin developed to distributors/manufacters nationwide under the "GP" (Gross-Profit) name. Rick has been the top selling reseller of Amplexus software for more than twenty years.
