Product Overview

The "GP" distribution system is a powerful and easy to use integrated distribution/accounting system. "GP" was designed utilizing over thirty years of experience dealing directly with the needs of the end users in thousands of installations. 

With "GP" it is no longer necessary to search for information from menu to menu or to train operators from complicated, three-inch thick manuals. In most cases with "GP" you simply enter a "?" and valid entries for the field are immediately displayed. 

With "GP" it is no longer necessary to memorize complicated customer numbers, inventory numbers, etc. Enter a phrase - perhaps a word from the customer's name, a telephone number, a contact name, an internal nickname or inventory description - and all names or descriptions with that phrase appear on the screen. Make a selection and continue with what you're doing without ever changing programs. 

What does this mean to you? In the distribution business, many companies offer the same products to the same customers -- the quality of customer service is what makes the difference. "GP" will give you the ability to provide the quality of customer service your competitors can only dream about. 

You can expect new hires to become more effective and productive by using the software to learn your business. More importantly, new hires can provide quality service to your customers! Customers calling for information will no longer be put on hold. 

Do you have unique pricing problems? Prices by type of customer, quantity breaks by item, columnar price breaks (quantity breaks by product group), quantity break lists by vendor, special prices for an individual customer on individual items, contract pricing (with expiration dates), rebate pricing and more... all Standard Features in Gold-Data's "GP" system! 

Another standard feature unique to "GP" is the ability to check inventory status, pricing POs and even add new items right in the middle of an order. Without this flexibility and freedom, many competitive computerized distributors must enter their orders manually into the computer system. 

Latest enhancements of the "GP" distribution system include the ability to print custom price books by any of the following criteria: by part number, by product description, by product category, by special list price number, or standard prices only.

Depending on the user's needs, these price books may be printed on 8 1/2 x 11 paper or wide journal paper. Print pricebooks with dot matrix or laser printer. Individual contract price books for each customer are also available.

Do your manufacturer costs change? Of course they do! With "GP", you key in your new cost and the Gold-Data System automatically recommends a new list price that maintains your previous sell/cost margins! Upon your approval, your list price is automatically updated. In addition, you can enter cost changes to become effective on a future date. "GP" will automatically change the costs on the appropriate date! 

Want to automatically update your prices? With our optional Vendor Pricelist Update module your vendors can send monthly updates that can be easily loaded into the Gross-Profit system.


The Locate Screen

GP Locate Screen

The Locate Screen is the most used screen in the entire system. In one screen you can display every document in the system for a customer. 

Every order, quote, back order, future scheduled order, pick slip, and invoice is displayed on one screen. Select the item and the entire document is immediately displayed without navigating through a menu. 

If that isn't enough, you can display a customer's document even if you're not in that customer's record. From within one customer's record, locate another customer's document. Hit the enter key when you finish viewing the document and you're right back in the original customer's record!

User Group

As an end user of Gold-Data's "GP" (Gross Profit) Integrated Distribution Accounting Software System, you have the option of joining the Gold-Data/Amplexus User Group. The User Group is supported directly by the author of the "GP" package, Amplexus Corporation. 

There are two ways to participate in the Gold-Data/Amplexus User Group. Both options are based on the number of on-line users of your system. 

Option 1: Includes warranty against bugs; free license for enhancements to the base package; two pre-paid hours of call-in consulting time per month. Additional call-in support is billed at a reduced rate. 

Option 2: Includes warranty against bugs; free license for enhancements to the base package; call-in support is billed at a reduced rate.
